EaseMyTrip Returns to Profitability with ₹14 Crore Net Profit in Q4

EaseMyTrip, one of India’s leading online travel platforms, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹13.9 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25. This marks a significant recovery from the ₹15.1 crore loss posted in the same quarter last year, indicating a positive turnaround for the company.

However, the profit comes amid a 15% decline in operating revenue, which fell from ₹164 crore in Q4 FY24 to ₹139.5 crore in Q4 FY25. This dip in revenue reflects the ongoing challenges in the travel industry, including pricing pressure, changing consumer behavior, and competitive market dynamics.

The company also reported a sharp fall in its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), which slumped 70% year-on-year. EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹17.3 crore, compared to ₹57.7 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The significant drop suggests that operational costs and other expenditures may have weighed heavily on margins.

Despite these setbacks, EaseMyTrip’s return to profitability is a positive indicator of financial resilience. The management attributes this improvement to strategic cost controls, lean operations, and a growing focus on customer retention. With travel demand gradually picking up and the holiday season ahead, the company is optimistic about future growth.
